Musicworks is the journal of the Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk and is published annually and distributed to all ANCOS affiliated members throughout Australia, as well as the wider educational community. It provides a national forum for refereed articles concerning the implementation of Orff ideas.

The journal accepts scholarly articles of up to 6,000 words. It welcomes articles from practitioners that include photos (with permissions) and music examples. The due date for all submissions (articles and advertising) is April 1, each year.
Articles which are about improvising, Orff approaches in different countries and applications of the Orff process in various settings are especially welcomed.
To submit a paper for consideration send your typed double spaced, single sided copy to the editor (details below). Quoted music and material must have copyright permission before submitting. Copies of approvals should be included with your submission. All submissions should be sent to:

All artwork should be sent to the ANCOS Administrator Sharon Anderson at email@example.com by 1 April, each year. The journal will be published and distributed by July the same year.
The 2016 edition of ‘Musicworks’ is now available for download by ANCOS/Orff Society members. Please click on "Download Musicworks" (below) and enter the password provided.
Note: Musicworks is accessible free of charge to ANCOS/Orff Society members. If you are a member and have not received your password, please contact your State Orff Association.
