Professional Development

VOSA offers a variety of professional development throughout the year. Annually VOSA runs events such as the Living Music & Dance (LMD) conference and the Early Childhood Conference of Performing Arts (ECCPA), a Marimba Camp, Improvisation Course and the Orff-Schulwerk Level Courses, as well as one day workshops and community music days. Our annual events are enjoyed by our members and are a fantastic opportunity for those interested in music education and community music to get involved.

Newsletter

VOSA produces 6 newsletters a year for its members. The newsletter, titled "Musette", informs members of upcoming events and includes many great ideas for teaching through the Orff approach. Musical examples are provided which are a great resource. The newsletter reflects on current music education issues and is a extremely rich source of Orff-friendly ideas.
