Tasmanian Orff Schulwerk Association - TOSA

Welcome to the ANCOS home page of the Tasmanian Orff Schulwerk Association Inc., better known as T.O.S.A.  We are a  teachers association that provides support and professional development in the area of music education. T.O.S.A. is affiliated with the Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk (A.N.C.O.S.) 
T.O.S.A. has a strong membership of over eighty music educators whose area of teaching ranges from early childhood  through to tertiary education. We also provide support for generalist classroom teachers from K-6 who want assistance in using music in their classrooms. 
Our members look forward to regular monthly workshops which are held at St Michael's Collegiate on the third Thursday of every month from March to November where local or visiting presenters conduct activities. We have two other  centres, one each in the north and north- west of Tasmania. 
All members in the state have the opportunity of meeting together in the middle of the year at a state- wide workshop in June or July. This is usually held in the north of the state giving closer access to members from all areas of Tasmania. 

Newsletter

Our newsletter, "A Tempo", is sent out monthly and contains reports from workshops as well as information about local, national and international coming events and activities. Interstate newsletter editors and members are welcome to send articles for inclusion. Articles need to be sent to:
