Workshop Biddy Seymour
 

Biddy Seymour currently teaches classroom music at a number of special schools, having also taught for many years as a music specialist in mainstream primary schools, both in Africa and Brisbane. She has had training in Orff Schulwerk in South Africa (Levels 1-3), Australia (Levels 3 & 4), and is attending the Orff Summer School in Salzburg in July 2005. She has had experience teaching at Early Childhood to Tertiary levels, including tutoring at Griffith University (Gold Coast) in the B.Ed. course. Biddy is the current President of QOSA (Queensland Orff Schulwerk Association) and Vice-president ANCOS (Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk), and has presented at numerous workshops and conferences at state, interstate and national level.

Session Abstract

We will do a number of drumming activities that I have found work well with most of my special needs students, and view video footage of some of them in action. If you have a suitable drum, please bring it with you.
