Since 1990 this engaging percussion quartet has enthralled audiences young and old, giving over 1500 energetic concerts for Musica Viva Australia, the Sydney Festival and the Sydney Opera House Trust.

They have toured Thailand and Laos where they performed ten concerts, including the 1998 Thailand Festival of the Arts, and in 1998 performed in The 1st Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival on Borneo Island. Versatile multi- instrumentalists playing in excess of one hundred different instruments utilising marimbas, xylophones, bass guitar, voices, Trinidadian steel drums and ethnic percussion. B’tutta performances embrace music that ranges from the rhythmically intense to the reflective and thought provoking.

They have given Australian premieres of works by Frank Zappa, Gordon Kerry and Graeme Leak. Their repertoire incorporates contemporary Australian, traditional and ethnic styles as well as group- generated works and improvisations.
